The sulfonylurea family
of herbicides is very broad. They are used in many crops,
including wheat, corn, and soybeans. Sulfonylureas are ALS-inhibitors.
There are several weeds which have biotypes resistant to this family of
herbicides but the most common one in our area is kochia.
Some common brand names of wheat herbicides include Ally Extra,
Amber, Express, Finesse, Glean, Harmony Extra, Rave and the active
ingredient in Ally, metsulfuron.
